Long Slow Distance

When it comes to running I am pretty much old school. When training for long distance races I subscribe to the LSD method Long Slow Distance. I had a coach who told me it is about putting time and distance on your legs, track workouts are for getting speed. If you push too much you start to break down and injuries occur. It good to push but listen to your body and adjust accordingly. 2 weeks from today I will be helping a few runners either complete their first Half Marathon or the first one for a long time. My philosophy is to first complete the race then use the experience to see how you can do it better. smile emoticon
